Singularity is the title I’m thinking for my current painting project.
There are numerous definitions for singularity. The definition I choose is:
The technological singularity (also, simply, the singularity) is a hypothetical point in the future when technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization.

How does this relate to my painting you may ask (OK, you probably don’t but I’m going to answer anyway).
Visually my painting has what I see as three elements: organic matter shapes, rock like structures, and technological like structures. Umm, of course I may be the only person to see that.
Back to my original point. In my painting I see the organic (plant like) shapes, the rock shapes (earth) and the technological shapes all melding together to form a singularity. Simply sharing this painting and the process online has irreversibly resulted in changes to my work and how I create and share it.

At one time about my only option was to hang my work on a wall in a building and persuade people to come in.
Now, if I use strategically chosen hash tags I can get views within seconds. That viewer may “like it” or “share it” and move on within seconds. So maybe, just maybe creating an image that resembles something but can’t be readily identified might hold a viewers attention longer.
